I had a friend who said that he was going to buy a new Corvette if he survived his second tour in Vietnam. Upon returning, he went to Harry Mann Chevrolet and told the salesman to order the fastest Corvette available. Well, my friend got a 1969 Corvette with a L88 engine, which he only kept for one month as he said it was too dangerous to drive!

Wow, that's quite a story. But, a man's got to know his limitations.

Survived two tours in Vietnam, but afraid of a little old Chevy?

There was a 67 sold at Mecum recently looked a lot like the blue Nicky in above post. Said it was a nicky car, sold around 400k.

There is a green 69 Phase III with a white stripe that was in the Otis Chandler collection.I'm just not sure if the Baldwin Motion Phase III cars meant L88 power or if they got the 425 horse 427.
