Title: 68 convertible windshield frame
Post by: 68rsssrag on April 27, 2007, 11:36:12 PM
Can anyone provide me details or even a picture of what is on the windshield frame at the inside of a ragtop? I've installed the brushed chrome wrap around header moulding on the top of the windshield frame and the windshield pillar vinyl covered mouldings. Does something else cover the exposed painted area visible under the sunvisor between the sunvisor bracket and the rearview mirror?
I forgot to take pictures of this in 1983 when I took it apart.....go figure.

Thanks

Arno

I don't have any pictures, but that area is exposed.

By the way, are you using reproduction header moldings?  If so, how is the fit?  I have a set of NOS header moldings, but they need to be rechromed to be up to my standards.  I'm wondering if it is worth it, or if I should just get the repros.  Thanks.

I used the repros on my 68 convertible and they fit and looked great! No complaints. :)
