The 67/8 396 with ac heater core. The heater core is shot. Every vendor lists “without ac”, but nothing with. Are the with and without ac the same?

Take it to a radiator shop. They can re-core them. it will be better than what's out there today...Joe

So is there a difference?

See my reply to you on the TC site. Yes, they're different. HERE YOU GO (https://www.oerparts.com/product/3009917.html), or save two bucks and shipping charges from EBAY (https://www.ebay.com/itm/334455511881?hash=item4ddf1a1b49:g:Mf8AAOSwuM1ikUxH&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoIaM8rS1IGzm88TMQHrDUBf7ggpZtBcnwSk5jXOsX0VCtvRvnapjcRyMvJksSgDE12qpS9kAqlWStibDzbYKb5x%2FRz2tFf6bjLV%2Fow9FnhEBOcsn6ZmDxOC%2FekFHL7bfQeEAgVP8JnYiW78NOviKf14t4WgCwkS%2FvfW0UxYyM%2BmknLTtyV9oGxTC98cpTKrB3m%2Bh40Ua%2B1%2FEPt9G%2Blv8VEM%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8Da8qWNYQ).
Edit: After a search found it ON SALE (https://www.ss396.com/camaro/AHC-9054.html?Category_Code=camaro-heatercore) for you! (Ignore the lack of 396 listing. P/N 3009917 was used on all engines.

Thank you Ed!!

I had my non-AC re-cored at a local shop for about $100. I went that route so as to keep the original tanks w/date codes
