Title: 67 68 69 Rear window convertible defogger
Post by: David K on May 23, 2022, 05:33:33 AM
Does anyone have or know of a member/friend car with one installed. Looking for 2 parts, but pictures of parts actually mounted in the trunk would really help. I’ve seen all the posted pictures on the web, but members cars would help me more because I. Sure they could have better details. Convertible motor/duct location for mounting are what I’m looking for. My 68 does not have any dimples for mounting parts in the trunk and getting it right the 1st time is kind of important. If you know someone who can help, I would appreciate it.

I dont but ditto with knowing if such a thing readily exists in detail because it would aid in winter drives...

They are just fans blowing air, barely worked in the best of times.

Yep, just a air blower fan. And really not that strong. Back when these cars were new they would only clear a small spot  around the center of the back glass and a little toward the right rear side of car. Still couldn't see anything. My coupe system is sitting on a shelf. But sorry, I have no help for your specific question.

When I ordered my 1969 Z28 back in the fall of '68, I purchased this option. Figuring I was in high school and would be doing some parking with girls back then and l knew I wanted to be able to see out  the rear window when the night was over! :) I have the high/low switch and bezel if you need one.

John, That back seat was murder for anything other then sitting upright, painful memories.

Thanks but I have a 68….still looking for the elusive parts. Not sure which is harder…the switch, the rear duct or the bracket to mount the switch because I have a power top. Needles in the stack of needles.
