Title: Cylinder Heads Cast in Canada

Attached picture is a closeup of some cating information from a 1969 327 #3927185 cylinder head. 

Am I interpretting this correctly in that this head was cast in Canada?  If so where?

Yes, those are Canadian heads - they were cast and machined and assembled on an engine built at McKinnon Industries (GM Canadian subsidiary, now called the St. Catherine's Engine Plant in Ontario); McKinnon-built engines were used primarily at the Oshawa, Ontario and Ste. Therese, Quebec assembly plants, and had a "K" prefix on the pad, although McKinnon also supplied some engines for a few U.S. assembly plants (but none for Norwood or Van Nuys).

Some Canadian parts were differant than U.S. - the '69 Buick 350 heads had a differant oiling system that didn't work on a U.S. motor.

McKinnon-built Chevy engines were identical to Flint and Tonawanda engines except for the McKinnon I.D. features.
