Title: 68 Exhaust Front Hanger Mount
Post by: gbowman on December 28, 2021, 12:32:41 AM
Being that I'm not that familiar with 68's, I thought I would ask the experts. Attached is a pic of the bottom of the 68 I'm restoring. The driver's side has the standard, tapped 2 holes for the forward exhaust hanger/strap. The passenger side is not the same. Am I missing something? My 69 SS has the same tapped holes on both sides for the hangers. Thanks.

Although it's not shown in the AIM, I'm fairly certain riv nuts were installed on the pass. side with dual exhaust. The drivers side frame rail (tail pipe hanger) does show riv nuts with dual exhaust.

Thanks All! I think at some point, the Riv nuts were removed from my car as the lip area of the holes appear to have been monkeyed with, (i.e. someone got ahold of them with a pry bar). Thanks again.
