Hi guys,
our Jan. 67 convertible has a a cutout on the bullhead (that is under the cowl top vent, near the hidden VIN)
it extends the outboard passenger side hole to the firewall. its about 2.5" wide and has mounting holes. it sits above the A/C box.
i have never noticed this on any other car. Is there something I'm missing or just some kind of old add-on.
All related thoughts welcome.
Thank's Again,
VT

It is your MAX Air/Fresh vent. There should be a small hole nearby into the interior where a vacuum line goes. It is normally open to allow fresh air into the fan. When you select MAX air, it closes off the cowl, opens the pass kick panel vent and forces the fan to pull air from the pass side kick panel.
Not sure if available new, probably a used item.

My car does have the horse shoe which I believe is the same for all deluxe interiors in 67; mine is a deluxe parchment car.
