Title: 1969 Trunk
Post by: tim69camaro on October 24, 2021, 11:34:32 PM
I was looking to purchase an original trunk lid and found this one. I did not buy it because it had four extra holes: one large hole near the date code, one large hole near the hinge and two small holes near the emblem. I have looked at the CRG report on trunk lids closely and this very early 1969 trunk lid does not match the photos. Has anyone seen a trunk lid like this and are these holes original?

My 2 cents says - if its not rusted out and in good shape overall and it fits your date scheme, you can get the holes resealed by a good TiG welder and ground flat.

Good original trunk lids are hard to find - and fit better in my opinion.

Good luck!!!
