Title: 1969 RS Headlight Mechanism issues
Post by: Driveway_finds on October 24, 2021, 10:08:48 PM
Has anyone ever had this problem before? (See pics) I have my mechanisms installed and running smoothly. I went to hook up my actuators and the hole in the actuator arm and the bell crank are about a half an inch off. The actuator mount on the inner fender bar is all the way back in it’s adjustment. I tried an original and reproduction actuator. Same issue. Any insight would be appreciated.

Does anyone have any pictures of their completed assembly? Thank you

Doesn't look like you're getting much response to your post. If the problem hasn't been solved, I'm in the midst of installing my RS door hardware and plumbing so here are a couple of work-in-progress photos for reference (all related parts are connected/installed except the return spring and dust cover.). All the parts I'm using except the actuators, hoses and bushings are restored assembly line original. They all line up and operate as intended. If you need more photos please let me know.

Thank you for the response! I ended up modifying the pivot bracket and got the proper alignment. Everything is working awesome now!
