Title: 1969 Rear brake soft line for 12 bolt
Post by: Driveway_finds on September 19, 2021, 05:13:57 PM
Does anybody have pictures of an original brake line on a car? Does it mount with the brake line as part of the rubber hose, or separate? Is the soft line supposed to screw into a brass block? Thanks!

Block isn't used when the hose has the distribution included...
The blocks were used on 67's possibly 68. They use a hose which has a male fitting - and screws into the block.

69 uses the hose with the distribution fitting attached to the hose.
This is the one on my old 70 Z28 but the same applies for 1969.

You will also need to get the correct bracket, the one in your pic is for the brass block.
That type may be the original type for your C10 pickup - everything newer than 69 car wise I believe had the block attached, 67 and earlier have the brass block with the rubber line configured female - car end - male axle end.

Perfect, I’ll save the brass block and bracket for my 67 Big Block Pacecar. Thanks!
