Title: GL-4
Post by: DAVID CHAMBERS on July 30, 2021, 08:08:15 PM
I am confused. So I put conventional 80-90 GL-4 TO REPLACE MY M20 fluid AND GL-5 for the posi rear end with 4 oz of slip additive? Thanks

You did it right.  GL-4 works best in a Muncie in my experience.  The GL-5 I put in the Muncie made the gearbox louder, leaked, and was a little bit harder to shift.  I drained it out and used it in the rear axle of another car. Put some cheap parts store GL-4 in the Muncie and all was right.

Thank you. I also had my brake pedal adjusted to try and fix another problem. Now my clutch pedal  goes to the floor easy and it is beginning to slip. Is that because of the adjustment of the brake pedal?

You want to have 1" of free pedal movement with light finger pressure.  Get a tape measure to the floor and see what you have.  If you do not have free movement about 1" you might be too tight and that would allow the clutch to slip and later fail from heat damage/wear.  Easy to verify.  Easy to adjust.
