Title: 1969 Camaro Package Tray Speaker Cut Outs
Post by: Driveway_finds on June 21, 2021, 02:10:06 AM
My 69 is equipped with an 8 track 4 speaker system originally. Does anyone know how the holes were punched out in an original package tray? Were they oval shaped like the speaker or were they shaped like the metal bracing of the metal package tray underneath? Thank you!

Can’t say for a 69, but my 67 had the orig package tray, and the rear speaker cutout was oval, and matched the cutout in the sheet metal that the speaker mounted to, not cutout above the bar diagonally across the speaker hole.

My 69 Z has the 4 speaker system with factory 8 track underdash ( no consol ) and the original rear package tray cardboard was shaped like the metal underneath. Owned it since 1974 BTW.
