Title: Key Buzzer Fix
Post by: WaltZ on April 26, 2021, 05:55:18 PM
my key buzzer stopped working, the buzzer may not work if the horn does not work as the two are the same relay.
FIX:
remove the steering wheel, the clip and the pieces to get to the turn signal switch
remove the plastic signal switch to get to the key switch

TEST the buzzer by jumping out the two terminals on the bottom of the signal switch assembly. if it buzzes, then it's either bad contacts  or  the switch itself may be faulty or in need of cleaning or adjustment. if bad it's an easy replacement.
carefully pry up on the two copper connectors on the key buzzer switch and be sure they contact the base of the cam.
Works for me

Now you can enjoy the annoying key in the ignition buzzer!! :D

lots of time people use graphite on keys and it will jam the switch up.

I  "WAS" a powdered graphite user till a local locksmith performed some Magic and made me swear to use WD40, which my Dad taught me NOT to use.

I recall a PNW (RARE) Ice storm where I need to use a hair dried to thaw out a Subaru Lock to get to Work.

BTW, Love the Noisy Buzzer,,,,,,,THanks for the Tip Walt
