Is this tag real, or did someone have it made up?

It was on facebook and here's the car in 2005. https://www.christies.com/en/lot/lot-4554173, pre restoration.
It's a different format than I've seen. Sounds like it's been added after 1969. I'd like to see the cowl tag.....

i never saw this plate. GM france plate is a little bit different . but maybe its original.
