Post by: FreddieB on March 01, 2021, 02:45:04 PM
I have been restoring a 1969 Pace car for a customer from the ground up . next is the windshield but have a question . What gets installed first ? the glass then the window trim and finally the top eyebrow or does the eyebrow go on first ? Thanks for the help !!!

The A pillar trim needs to be installed first along with the clips that hold the windshield trim (left, right & top). These are screwed in beforehand as once the windshield is installed you can't access the screws. The header pieces(on top) can go in later.

This sealing information is not in the assembly manual - this is a fisher operation - these are from a Corvette assembly manual.
Make sure that you seal the header moldings as shown in these illustrations -
If you don't water driven up the windshield will fill the trough and then spill into your lap.
