Looking at my kick panel the cotton pad glued to the back side , is that for noise or thermal insulation? Was thinking of using some carpet padding as mine is in poor shape. Also has anyone replaced the gasket in the flapper doors, tried a search but nothing came up.they pop right out ,finding the rubber gasket might be hard.

Is that seal a foam pad riveted to the flapper doors? If so, the vendors carry that as a kit with rivets, "kick panel door seals" My car has AC, and some of those systems seals are a rubber perimeter seal bonded to the steel doors.

Some have the thick felt kick panel backing as well. Looks like you could replicate that easily for less $$$

Thanks Pete for the help, I checked 2 different catalogs but found nothing. I know no one will ever see the ones I restore, but I'll feel better, thanks again.

Once you figure out the Semi-Tubular Riveting process, It can be utilized for Proper restoration of many parts on the Camaro that used this form of joining of materials. Personally I hate pop rivets used where incorrect even if not seen, AIM, UPC 0 A5 for 1968
Raining in the Seattle area, but that said it could be any month but Aug, 11 other months require Gray sky's and wet stuff. PNW liquid sunshine. You can keep the Rain you must Shovel. :) Grins!
as far as the Kick Panel Door for 69 the Repop push pull cable actuators are Cr@p, Difficult to make work as my Buddie Dan found out.
