Hello all, been a lurker for a while,signed in to ask about a car for sale. 69 X 11, Z23 interior in standard white,white vinyl top,( puking noises), C60,D55, N66?, 307 , turbo 350, 17K showing speedo, North of $30k. Only seen pics. Thinking bout looking. Running n driveable.
Thoughts,observations,input ? Thanks in advance.

My advise: Have an expert look at ANY potential car your are interested in. In this day and age, you have to be careful. Fakes, re-bodies, and just plain 'ol scammers now a days. Im not trying to sound negative, its your hard earned money and you don't want to get taken advantage of. That said, there are wonderful guys on here who can direct you, and give excellent advise. Good luck!

I agree. Best to take the time and find someone that can actually evaluate the car. Even if it cost you a few $$ to have it inspected, it could save you a bunch of $$$$$$$$ of unknown issues that may possibly be lurking. Like mentioned prior, not trying to come off being negative toward your finding a good car. Now, with all that said, you mention (puking noises). If it is coming from under the hood, it could be a simple valve adjustment (not a big deal), or it could be a rod knocking (big deal). Is it only the exhaust? A water pump? Like mentioned by James in the above comment. You need to have someone check all those claimed RPO codes to see if it is what they claim. It could be. And it could be, Not! Don't buy on a whim. Get it inspected if you are truly interested. And if at all possible be there when it's done and ask for any and all paperwork pertaining to the car prior to shelling out any form of cash. Even receipts. Hope you find the right car. Good luck.

IMO for that kind of money the body would have to be really nice. You would have no money for body work, paint, ect. A driver small block even crate engine prices are not that bad. But rust repair and paint would put you underwater really quick.

The puking noises are from me,hate the white interior and the white vinyl top. Have sent PM to one of the sites members with links on how to view pictures. I don't know how to post pictures,links all that computer stuff. I pad is smarter than me ,so is smart phone. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Good luck on all your projects. Talked to owner,not vinyl top,two tone paint,Glacier Blue body, Diver White top,repainted late 70's. N66 wheels added by previous owner. Question 1,what would the stamps be correct for a 69 Camaro rim for N 66 rim? Cowl tag say NOR 267665, O2D, 715 (interior,blue vinyl,it has white std interior),53 (Glacier Blue),D90 Black body stripe. Question 2, looked at CRG production charts, VIN # is out of range,all on chart start with
5xxxxx,this one starts 267665, is this possible or is it red flag ?. Not sure about this. Going Saturday am to look.unless someone can tell me about Cowl Tag #. Wish I knew how to post pics from IPad for someone to see. Can someone get back to me about this before Saturday . Thanks to all who have been so kind to reply. If it is a correct car and the rims check out ,I would try to buy car and sell/ trade rims for correct steel rims. Hate to ask for help but need to know. That # on the Trim Tag (cowl tag) is not the VIN. The VIN is on top of the dash seen looking down through windshield, close to the driver side “A” pillar(pillar along windshield that goes to the front of the roof). That number you mention on the cowl trim tag, is the dealer order number. When the dealer filled out an order sheet for a car, GM assigned that number to a car that was to be built. This order number has no correlation to the VIN

N66 wheels were dropped as optional wheels in the first of the year, I don't believe they were available beginning January 1969 on the dealer ordering sheets. YA codes, they came back into play for 1970 as the AO coded wheels for Chevelles.
I don't use an iPad, but if you can transfer jpeg files from your phone to an iPad and stoe them temporarily, it should be aneasy thing to add them under the attachement section at the bottom of each Post Reply. Watch the file size when you transfer from your phone to the iPad, keep it at 150kb, you can post 4 pics of this size with every post. If file size is a problem, download Light Image Resizer's free program, where you can easily adjust size and edit your file pictures to fit within the CRG guidelines.

Cool exterior color, too bad someone changed the interior. I may not be a huge blue interior guy but that white would be a night mare to keep clean
