HELLO, THIS IS MY FIRST POSTING. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I HAVE A 1969 CAMARO WITH A 1973 BLOCK, AND 1969 HEADS. WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR ARE HEADERS IN WHICH I CAN REMOVE THE SPARK PLUGS. THE HEADERS IN MY PRIOR ENGINE WERE HOOKER HEADERS, ATTACHING TO A THREE BOLT FLANGE. THE OVERALL LENGTH OF EXISTING HEADERS I CANNOT USE, NOR WANT TO ARE 33 INCHES, AND THE 3 BOLT FLANGE IT TIES INTO HAS A 3 INCH DIAMETER. ANY THOUGHTS AS TO WHAT BRAND HEADERS WILL WORK FOR ME? THANKS, MIKE IN MN

My worthless two cents…
Hooker headers have always been in my experiences a pain in the arse. Fitment issues and extremely low hanging. And not worth the price. Now that said, Headman headers have (for me) been a better choice (and cheaper too). OR you can spend some big bucks and buy/make up a custom set. Remember, the small block Chevy head design is what it is…the plugs are below the exhaust. So, there will always be some issues with plug installs concerning headers.

Have a set of Dougs 1 7/8. doing plugs are not to bad.
