I have an ok knowledge of 1st gens and their VINS- I found this car for sale on ebay with a photo of the tag reading
ST 69 12437 LOS164804 BDY
TR 715 53 53 pnt
*OE(obscured by rivet) (Now I know this is a standard blue on blue 69)
-333
Now who can tell me what -333 is?
below is the ebay address

All Los Angles built cars had a code on them that was used in-house for tracking.
It will be a letter folowed by up to 3 numbers. the - should have been a letter.
Here is one example of a 1969 LOS tag
btw *0E is the production date, it would appear the hidden digit is 1 or 10E

it really says "-333" there are 2 letters or numbers stamped next to the left rivet but I think that solves it- just another case of inconsistant vin tag stampings from the LA plant- and a meaningless internal tracking number...OR its the long lost Secret TRIPLE COPO 333!!! That came from the factory with a top secret Vortech supercharger and a 427 AND polished TorqueThrust II wheels!! It can be seen for sale on Ebay currently- check the link above.

That secret triple copo part was pretty funny
