Can anyone tell me if, for a non-black interior, the hinges for a fold down rear seat were painted the interior color, to match the carpeted metal seat back panel? Or were all hinges black? Specifically for a 67 LOS car, however I suspect it would be the same across all first gens. Thanks

They were painted whatever the interior color was.

Ok, I'm going to retract what I stated above (all painted black)! I just checked my pictures and I DID find a couple of cars with white, red and blue interiors and the hinges ARE painted the interior color! So I've edited my above post.

Saw a post on Facebook a while back about a guy with a black rear fold down seat. That car has one blue hinge and one red hinge. But both had been painted over at the factory to black. Original car and I don’t doubt it. What would be the chances of just finding two mismatched hinges and putting them together with a black seat.

Was it an early car Bryon?

I looked but so far I can not find the post. Will look more in the next few days and post again if I find details.
