Title: Big block oil pan in a 69
Post by: ckresto on March 26, 2007, 09:54:34 PM
I'm going to put a BB in my 69 camaro.  Is there a lot of different pans, or are they all generic across the chevy line?  I have a few pans lying around, and think one of the smaller ones will work.  2 of them look like they might be 6qt jobs.  May be out of a truck but don't know.  Is there a P/N stamped on these somewhere?

There's no part number stamped anywhere on the pan, but the Camaro BB oil pan looks like this; I believe it's unique to the Camaro application, for clearance to the front crossmember.

My '75 454 P/U pan fit my car fine.

4-quart jobber and a quart in the can.
