Title: 69 350cuin oil fill cap
Post by: emdoller on April 20, 2020, 04:49:11 PM
Hi

My oil fill cap has a minor leak because the gasket is gone. Can anyone tell me if this is the original and if there’s a way to replace the gasket? And was it painted originally?

It’s currently orange and has “engine oil fill” And AC-FC2 written on it.

Thanks!
Ed

Should look like this one (see below). As for replacing the seal, it can be done but you have to be careful not to rip the new gasket. I've used cheap aftermarket caps just for the rubber seal. Rubber is easier to install.

Thanks Ed. That’s what it looks like.
