Title: Capital letter "W" stamped on 69 Camaro heater delete plate
Post by: 69RALLYSPORTZ28 on April 11, 2020, 10:33:43 PM
I am looking at what is represented as an original GM heater delete plate for a 69 Camaro and I noticed a Capital Letter "W" stamped into the metal
If not a restamp, is this one indication that the panel is original GM?

Not sure but similar supplier stamping on transmission drain plugs. Not uncommon to note suppliers made several parts for GM but again can not confirm.

I would say real gm piece-the "W" is the manufacture stamp(brain fade -don't recall which company)-I have that W stamping on my cowl induction air cleaner flange.Stay safe everyone!
Happy Easter
