Title: 69 rear bumper guard cushion nuts

What would the correct finish for these "nuts" be?

Appear to be gray phosphate finish, at least mine are (owned since '73). Pretty sure the '68's are the same, someone correct me if I'm in error.

Here are my 68 rears right after taking them out of a bag w/ evaporust still wet

Yep same for fronts as well.
