Title: Replacement of Horn Contact - 69 Camaro part C-2819-10 NPD
Post by: marriest on March 10, 2020, 11:31:36 AM
Instructions say to cut off contactor at 3/4" does that include the cap or spring end or just the 1" end.
Looks like                 Spring I--------       1"      would make a 1/16" difference.
Hope this makes sense.

Can you post some pictures of what you're referring to? I'm always leery of a part that includes instructions with statements to "cut" something!!

Sorry, I can't help you since I have no clue what they want you to cut. You might want to call the company that manufactured the parts.

I assume this relates to the "thickness" of the different wheel hubs and the need to supply a one size fits all?
Trim to fit depending on year and wheel options.

I opened this kit for pictures. I think it refers to the contact brush...Joe

I agree with both you guys. Looks like the pin (contact) itself needs to be cut depending on which steering wheel it's going in.

How does the pin & spring go in? Does the pin go in 1st or the spring. Horn never worked on this car. Standard wheel 1969 w/tilt. Thank you, Joe
