Title: Seat back differences for 1969
Post by: x66 714 on February 05, 2020, 01:01:13 AM
Did they change the design of the front seat back in later 1969. Mine has a heavy metal plate that makes the contact with the rubber seat stop? I see that some had a phillips head screw about the size of a quarter that makes that contact....Joe

I do not recall seeing anything besides the large phillips screw.  Can you post pics?  A previous owner may have fabbed up something to try to get the seat back from leaning back so much (that will not help, you have to bend (flatten) the side arms to get it more upright)

I talked to a guy in Utah that has 4 1969 Camaros. One car has the screws. The other 3 are like mine. I'll see if I can get a picture...Joe

I finally got over to the upholstery shop to see what was different. This is factory. It's where the seat bottom stop hits...Joe
