Don't know the car but saw this picture of it and thought, looks nice, but:
Squeaky gas tank straps.
Wrong springs.
Lots of restoration grafitti.
Improper axle tube prep for a restoration.
A Jerry report is useless without reading it.
What else? You going to bid?

This car hurts my eyes!! It's not even CLOSE to being "restored". "Refurbished", yes (with a lot of incorrect parts), but not "restored". No proof whatsoever shown in the pictures of it being a real Z28. That ALWAYS raises a red flag.

And it's not in the database.

Always gets a snicker to see the cross ram and a smog setup on the same car.

Anyone going to Scottsdale that can possibly lay eyes on the JM report?
Thanks, Doc.

If you're interested in purchasing, contact Jerry and see what he has to say.

Squeaky gas tank straps.
What's the issue with the tank straps?

Ditto on the gas tank strap question.

Only thing I see that is wrong is the straps are supposed to be black. Anti squeak goes between the tank & the floor ..Joe

Car has lots of stuff wrong with it, wrong headrests , and Braille body gaps really stand out. Front subframe crossmember looks terrible, doesn’t anybody fix them! Lots of lipstick.
I guess it’s someone’s best effort, but typical auction fluff. Nice colour  though.

Barrett-Jackson finally added a picture of the JM certificate. They do not have the report. Reached out to JM, no reply yet.
Doc.

Hi Mike, wow that rascal has a lot of stuff incorrect and a judge would get writers cramp.

Sellers pay a good amount to have a report done. What they do or do not share (full report or not) is up to them. And I don't really think it is right for anyone to just ask JM for a copy of the report on a car. The person that paid for the report should have some right to privacy - they paid a fee for a service.

Where does it say he asked for a copy of the report? Could have asked for an opinion on how 'correct' the car was/is. Interesting debate; if a seller uses a CHP Appraisal Certificate to help market their car at a higher value, but won't provide the detailed report that sets out component and finish status, isn't that deliberate non-disclosure?

Sounded like several of the cars had their write ups revised after Jerry got done with them from what a friend told me.  Then they still bring big prices.  The COPO, to me, was not a COPO

Correct. Jerry and Norm did a lot of inspections prior to anything selling to verify what was what.

I Agree 100%, it was a “Reproduction” COPO, I could not believe any one would pay that much.
