He's posted everywhere about it. But he's never posted the VIN, even though I asked....

yep I saw that post, and Kurts post asking for the vin. Seems like once a month I see a posting of a stolen classic car on facebook.

I always tell my friends to never accept checks for the sale on a car. Cash OR bank wire funds only. NEVER release your car/title until the wire fund clears.

My dad got a fake cashiers check from a bankrupt LAWFIRM once...
