Title: 1967 Disc brakes options and production.
Post by: BULLITT65 on November 06, 2019, 05:14:45 AM
While I understand the 67 Z was mandatory with J50 disc brakes and J52 power assist, (which would add up to 602 cars produced). What about the other models? IS there production numbers on how many SS cars, and non SS cars came with disc brakes and power disc brakes for 1967?

J50 24549
J52 14899
J56     205
As for the numbers of what got what, that detail is not given & probably not known...Joe

OK, I was on that page, and totally spaced and missed seeing the quantity box.
So 14k cars other than the Z got the disc brakes, but no break down of which cars received them. (pace car vs SS vs base)

Also it wasn't until 69 that (power) disc brakes were standard on the SS.

It was 2:1. About 9500 SS's got discs, about 5000 non-SS/Z got discs.
