Title: LOS built 1967 L78's
Post by: KenBoje on March 16, 2007, 09:54:35 PM
Kurt, Jerry M.;

I recently spoke with a friend, who questioned whether there were any LosAngeles built L78's during the 1967 production run. What does the data base indicate?

My friend told me he has a buddy that owns one, but has been told that it must be a made up car, as they were not built? I have personally heard of at least one 05C built LOS 4K car.

I know of at least one real one that goes back over 20 years.  My cousin wanted it before he bought my Chevelle.  Was red at the time but was an original white car.  A few years later, I saw it at Carlisle for sale.  Very nice and straight body.  OEM engine.  Don't know about the trans or rear.

LA built a bunch of 67 L78's. They are out there, including a few very original cars.

Thanks for the replies Kurt and Jerry. I'll let my friend know, if more questions or info needed, will suggest a follow-up post.
