Title: Battery Caution Tag
Post by: vabeach56wagon on September 03, 2019, 07:14:00 PM
Was this tag attached to the negative post of batteries in 1969 or the earlier years?

Thanks

It's not in the AIM, there's no GM part number on it (which it should have it if were factory installed), and I've never seen one of these on an original car, so I'm going to say no. Granted, I've not had a chance to see a lot of cars with original batteries over the years, but I'm still going to say no!

Edit:

But of course, they have them listed on EBAY (https://www.ebay.com/itm/68-69-70-71-Chevelle-SS-GTO-Judge-Cutlass-442-GS-Battery-Tag-Label-Negative/200554709881?fits=Model%3ACamaro&hash=item2eb1fe0379:g:NzQAAOSwWyRaoY3a), so it MUST be real!!!

Here's an old thread with pics that doesn't show any such tag
