Title: Caveat Emptor..block stamp

From the ad:

Block Casting Number: 3970010 Block Casting Date: K67 Engine Suffix Code: V0114DZ

The seller is careful to express no claims but implies it has a real DZ engine. That block casting number did not exist on Nov 6, 1967 [K67] or January 14, 1969 [V0114DZ] so there is reason to question it.

He's also careful not to show the trim tag!

That might or might not the casting date code for the block.  Might be 1977.

Yup, could be 1977.

It's a short drive from here. I'm not that curious. Has problems other than the engine [grille, rear stripes, trunk mat, spare tire, missing heater].

Looks like it might be a nice driver.
