Post by: Heavychevy on August 12, 2019, 11:25:28 AM
I'm in need of help Identifying my 1969 camaro convertible it has a396 with 4speed . Just bought it from an old Chevy head in upstate NY. I'm new here so I'll apologize in advance if I do something stupid or out of line . Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm going to put the car back the way it was originally born .

Read as much as you can here...     http://www.camaros.org/index.shtml

You may answer your own questions, or at least you'll learn what information we need to help you, and what areas of your car/engine you need to photograph so that we can intelligently assist you... :)

Thank you for your time and help . The only problem I have is that I can not get a picture to upload.  I have tried every which way of doing it and it keeps telling me that the file is too large.  I'll try to figure out what I'm doing wrong when I get home tonight from work.

you can also search for and download 'Light Image Resizer' which is an excellent way to resize your image files.

This site is very difficult . Can't message.  Can't upload or send attachments
Why . I tried downloading resizer 3 different ones doesn't work.  I appreciate members wanting to post for me . But I should be able to post my own . I'm going to unsubscribe in the morning this is ridiculous.  I am on computer or phone all day with work without issue.  This has wasted hours of my time . Why should you have to do trivia and puzzles to message and then still doesn't work . Tried emailing back member with no results.  Rant over I guess I will do a search for another Camaro site . Very frustrating this site is

Image size has to be under 200 kb to load into a post.

Actually it's the FILE SIZE that has to be under 200kb...  with file compression such as jpeg, the image size can be much larger...

(from the attachment information)...

Allowed file types: txt, doc, pdf, jpg, gif, mpg, png
Restrictions: 4 per post, maximum total size 500KB, maximum individual size 200KB

The instruction just says 'size'... not as informative as it could be but since it gives the 'size' in KB, it's implied that it's 'file size' ...!!

Maybe some people don't realize this, since so many have problems posting images, but here is a little example:

This FILE is only 92Kbytes, but it's image size is:   819 x 614 (H x V) which is 502,866 pixels; each pixel in color on a typical screen is represented by at least 3 bytes of data (one each for R, G, and B), which means this IMAGE once displayed is over 1.5Mbytes!    but with JPEG compression, it's all contained in a file of only 92 Kbytes..

I’ve never had these issues with this site. Just read up and go from there. It’s not rocket science.
