Title: 1969 firewall graffiti
Post by: x66 714 on August 02, 2019, 11:20:23 PM
I just got my 69 back from media stripping. Found the firewall marks. "C60" in bold letters, a/c. "259" top of the cowl pass side. "DYEL" must mean Daytona yellow. Also found a "DE" & an "87". "DE" might mean Deluxe int. Any thoughts on the unknowns. They didn't photograph very well. Thank you, Joe

87 may be Z87, custom interior.

Here some pictures of the firewall. I guess BYEL is actually bright yellow. You can see where they drilled through the hidden vin below the rectangular hole & where it says C60 starting where one of the heater hoses goes...Joe

I have never seen the hidden vin in that spot. Is that a AC thing ?

Either that or because of it's late build...Joe

Quote
On the firewall below the fan motor opening (non-AC cars) or below the heater opening (AC cars).

On my 67 11B LOS w/ C60 the lower partial is at the blower motor hole, at about the 7-8 o'clock position
