Is it possible to have an original block with the pad stamped with the engine code, but not have the body vin stamp.

If the engine is from a 1967 model car, it may not have had a partial VIN stamped on the engine (per CRG.. generally only Z28 and SS engines were stamped with a partial VIN in 1967 model cars).
If the engine you pictured is a '67 model engine, was it from an SS?

It's a 1967 SS-350 and fairly improbable, but anything's possible.

The block is supposed to be from a 1967 SS and it is a large journal block.

It's a 1967 SS-350 and fairly improbable, but anything's possible.

What other pictures would help you determine if the block is correct.

The car I got it with is an 11B RS\SS convertible. If it is correct for it I will store, it otherwise I will do something different with it.

Any opinion from the experts on the Flint application stamp? Seems unlikely that someone would fake an L48 w/ P-glide stamp, or do so and not also fake the partial VIN.
Engine stamp (Feb 1967) is too late for an 11B (Nov 1966) car.

So should I assume since this block has no vin stamped on it, I should consider it nothing more than a run of the mill block. I am not gonna use it in my Camaro, as I already have the drive train for it, but also didn't want to put it in one of my trucks or other cars if it needed to be protected so to speak.

No question, it's an original stamp. To the right person, it has value.
