Title: 1 man brake bleeder
Post by: wisemanz28 on June 25, 2019, 12:30:59 AM
I'm going to bleed the brakes in my 69 Camaro this weekend and I'm shopping brake bleeder kits. I'm looking for recommendations on a kit. I had a MityVac but it didnt last . I want something better.

I have used "speed bleeder" screw in bleeder hardware from Summit with some success

just one option.

Take a bottle with some brake fluid in it. Set it about as high as the bleeder, concrete block, etc. Put a hose that fits the bleeder snugly down into the fluid. Open the bleeder and pump away. Close the bleeder and check your peddle. Free one man kit.

I've used a Craftsman bleeder for years, many vehicles, even use the pump to check other parts (distributor advance, Auto Therm A/C valves). Works flawlessly, wouldn't trade it for another brand (although by appearance it's very close to a MityVac, could be a private branding).
