Title: 70 Z28 Trim tag
Post by: fiveforty on June 14, 2019, 12:32:41 PM
There is no Z in front of the 28. I am not to familar with 2nd gens but would it still be a Z28 or just an option code on that line.

Not 100% accurate statement but yes some did and some didn’t.

To again comment on your question.  Yes it’s a legit tag for a Z.

Thanks,  I had not seen many 70 Zs for sale but did not know that they did it both ways.

That is a legit tag, early production Norwood built Z28's in '70 did not have the "Z" in front, but did have the 28 on the Trim Tag.  That build date would be consistent with no Z in front of the 28.

Are you looking to purchase or just curious? If buying then make sure you double check vin, driveline stampings etc. Although those rivets look original sometimes you never know.... :-\
