Title: Cranks and Cams
Post by: dab67 on November 29, 2005, 01:38:11 AM
::)Can anyone tell me the correct part number combination for crank and cam used in the 67 350 295hp? I found on Mortec, 8 different cranks for the 350 but nothing on the cam. Plus I could not find info regarding the application for the cranks. Thanks CRG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe the cam is the same one that was used across all Chevrolet products from '67-'81 for the 300hp-level 327 and 350 engines; the "929" cam - GM#3896929 (casting #3896930). It had 195*/202* duration @ .050", and .390"/.410" lift. It's still available from GM under P/N 12364051 as a kit with cam and lifters for $100-$140 depending on where you buy it.  :)

;DThank you John for the input.

Would the correct crankshaft be a forged like the 2690 or a cast like the 1181?

I'd expect to find a cast crank in a '67 350/295hp.; I believe the only Camaro small-block with a forged crank was the Z/28.
