Boys,
The legendary automotive designer, Larry Shinoda was born today on March 25, 1930. RIP, Larry.

A friend of mine and I got to meet and talk with Larry Shinoda at a big fancy dinner put on by Chevrolet when they were the featured marque for the 1987 Monterey Historic Races. He was by himself but was very gracious and spent a good amount of time talking with us. He was humble but also very proud of the work that he had done, and rightfully so. We really enjoyed our visit with him.

Those are conversations we wish we had a recording. Good memories to have Jon.

I’ll second that one Chick. Would have loved to talk with him just based on the stories I’ve read. I’m proud to have been chosen for a Shinoda pick @ MCACN . It may not seem like much to many, but with all the Vettes and Mustangs in attendance, a lil ol’ Camaro was the choice.

Thats a cool story! Congrats. Btw, the Camaro had some Shinoda 'influence' in the design. If you may recall, he styled the Corvair redesign, and 'some' highlights of that car, was also in the Panther concepts.
