Title: 69 horn repair
Post by: cons69rs on March 05, 2007, 06:45:01 PM
Does anyone know if the "64-75 deluxe horn rebuild kit" part # M-3065 from zip corvette products will work on 69 camaro horns - # 289 and 290. Anybody have experience with these kits? Do the rivets look original?

Thanks
Conrad

Not sure if your horns are beyond this type of "repair"... Both of my horns were frozen and did not work. I simply sprayed a ton of WD-40 into the horn opening and let it soak over night. One of them came back to life and has been working fine ever since.

If you want them fixed right send them to Gary at The Horn Works.

I have sent him 3 sets and he does phenomenal work and is a great guy to deal with.
The horns are real loud now.

Jerry MacNeish does a great job too. Mine have been working perfect for 6 years now and have the correct rivots and the correct color.
