Would an 05A Norwood car be able to make it to Sanford, FL and into a newspaper add by 23May1968? I know there are a bunch of unknowns with the travel itself. I guess I should ask if it’s possible or is that too far fetched?

I would say it was very possible. If you have the VIN you can get the report from NCRS.

I got the report for my dad a year or two ago. They gave the dealer as Joe Creamons Chevy. Another member sent me links to archives from the local paper of the dealership. One of the articles says they have 3 z28’s for sale and the date was 23May1968. I did a search in the orphans section and his m21 was posted there back in 2010. I’m just curious that’s all.

The dealership could have advertised a car or cars that it had ordered and was expecting imminent delivery of, especially if it was a performance model and could bring interest to the lot. I've heard several stories from original owners of the sales team keeping them advised of expected arrival date.
Many states didn't mandate that dealer ads included a VIN or plate number.

Yes indeed imho. Realize our car did not travel far from NOR but trim tag 01b and sold 01/23/68. Trains moved a lot of cars!

My 1968 Norwood 04A coupe was delivered to it's owner on April 20, 1968 in Winterpark Florida.

My 07E shipped on the 31st and the title work was transfered to owner # 1 on 8-8.

I have agreed to buy cars 'while they were enroute, or still on the transporter'.. subject to clean up and inspection .. of course.. Time doesn't have to be a long time. Some cars sit on lots for a while, and others don't.
