Title: Camaro emblem on trunk lid?
Post by: Fred Mertz on January 11, 2019, 08:07:48 PM
Looking a picture of the location for Camaro emblem on the trunk lid.  The car has a rear spoiler.
' 69 Z/28.  Car has had a recent color change and emblem holes were filled.

Thanks, Dave

When the factory installed a spoiler the moved the deck emblem to the upper location.  Here are some pics.  Note, this car is NOT a Z/28, I am not sure if the stripe placement is accurate :)

When added by a dealer, they just removed the emblem :)

Initially, all lids were punched for the emblem. On D80 cars, the emblem was relocated and the unused holes sealed. When Firebird production moved to Norwood, the trunk lid was revised to accommodate both and no longer pre-punched for the emblem.
