Title: Jerry your attention please
Post by: click on February 27, 2007, 03:49:15 PM
Jerry, this ebayer classic car dealer is asking for you to contact him. Seems he's been given conflicting info. on his COPO which some think is Reggie's old clone..  he emailed me and asked for your contact info. so he can retain your services to tell him what he really has.  This is the guy that claims to have a partial VIN on the "elephant ear" inner fender, whatever that is.  here is his direct email :  acinc@consolidated.net

This is the guy that claims to have a partial VIN on the "elephant ear" inner fender, whatever that is.

At the bottom of his listing, it shows this question.....
------------------------
Q: What is the elephant ear? In your description you said: 'I have also checked on the elephant ear...'

A: There is a small part on the passenger side inner fender where the VIN is also stamped. It's called the 'elephant ear' in the lingo. Thanks for the interest. Craig

No such thing as a VIN stamped on an "elephant ear".  ::)

I don't think I certified this car.  I would never use a term elephant ear.  I have no clue what that is??  On all of my reports, there is a "cert #" on the top right hard side of the first page.  If you have that I can look it up.

Thanks,

Jerry

Jerry he doesnt have any certification at all right now. He wants you to contact him, I think to arrange for you to look at the car for him.  His email is in my first post.

That car has some 'issues'.
It's helpful to have a trim tag that matches the VIN. :(
