Here's a Chevrolet promotional item for the '67 Camaro and a letter from Chevrolet describing what it's about. I've seen them on ebay quite a few times but the letter from Chevrolet is a nice item that completes the story. Thanks to Dan Retting and also Mike Gibbons for sharing this with us.

Here's a few more photos of the card and envelope that came with the promo key chain.

Thanks Jon. The middle paragraph reads like the introduction they used during Bonanza when they would bring out all the new year's models.

Nice,
Now they use robo calls and junk email.

2 each, I got one off epay years ago and 'used' it on a car (show car) fob and broke the loop. (I assume I could take it to a jeweler for repairs?) After a conversation with a Supv at work, he indicated he bought a 67' new in the navy when stationed in California San Francisco Naval Station. He dug it out and gave me the medallion and reminisced how fast the 67 ss350 was backin the day & troubles a young sailor could get into around the streets of San Fran. Great Fella and went onto Corvettes in his older years, he is long retired and enjoying it.
Also Pictured is WHAT Chevy is handing out. They had a trivia Game while standing next to a pre-production TRAILBLAZER at the Seattle Nov 2018 auto show. I guess it is something for a fancy phone, knob-holder?

I have one of these key chains that my grandmother sent away for back in 67. It's still in the original envelope addressed to her and cost $.04 to mail.

I was looking through a December 1970 issue of Motorcade magazine and came across the ad below. Sounds like the same promo key chain as above but now possibly being offered by someone other than Chevrolet?

I found one in the defrost dust of my 68 SSRS 396 when I tore it down to do the resto years ago.

That was one interesting find!

Jon,
I'd guess someone ended up with a pile of these and invested in an ad.
