Don't know the car, but did see it in an email from Mecum as part of the Main Attraction Paul Offutt Collection.

Curious why there is no VVS paperwork, and when did Mecum stop putting VIN's in the auction listing?

Mecum stopped listing VINs for most auctions a few years ago. CA auctions will list the VIN.

Does anyone keep a list?

COPO Connection used to keep a list and issue certificates, but is now defunct. And nobody talks about them anymore.

Yes. But again, there's nothing in the ad that gives a hint of the VIN, body #, or even build date.....

Seller and his collection are well known in the SuperCar / Yenko.net circle. You can check over there if you have a serious interest in buying.

Wonder why the metal dash was replaced on such a low mile car?

Restoring a high-end car in a non-original color is foolish.

tires [G70 x 14] are incorrect
docs list an AM radio
incorrect shift knob
worn steering wheel shroud
missing AIR system including manifolds
missing hood to cowl seal
style trim tail lights
seat belts messed up

Should be near-perfect @ $295,000.

Definitely a different crowd over there. Good cars seem to change hands privately. Other member cars are not really criticized. Comments on cars for sale are like: that's a real beauty, GLWS, and would love to have it. About the most critical thing you can post there would be "shouldn't a solid lifter car have a 6K redline?" and you can't even post comments or questions in the classifieds without being a paid member.

But it won 1st place at the Chicken and Barbeque show.

Typically, there is a lot of beer sold at those events.

Did you ever find the information you were looking for?

I can get you the VIN on Friday, but that is the auction day for this car and might be to late to research before bidding.

There is a fresh thread on the Paul Offutt collection on the Yenko board. Ask again there in Supercar/Musclecar discussion forum.

Thanks! I'd need a better picture, but what I've seen of the trim tag is questionable.
