Title: Seat Fabric
Post by: curtis0916 on October 18, 2018, 06:04:20 PM
I am restoring a 1968 SS with standard black interior.  I know the original seats were vinyl, but my first car was a '67 with vinyl and I still remember burning my legs many times during high school  >:(  I'm wanting the car to be as stock as possible, but I'm wondering if there are any good seat fabrics out there that give the stock/vinyl look, but maybe would be a little more friendly to bare skin.

Thank you for any help you can give!!

In Arizona, using a towel when you're driving help keep your legs from burning & also help to keep your skin oil from getting into the vinyl or cloth...Joe

leather is better than vinyl...  there are companies that will make seat covers for you using your material of choice (black leather) in the pattern of your choice (69 std)...
