Title: Aligning the front clip
Post by: GIBSTER on February 23, 2007, 07:44:42 PM
I have the front sheet metal and inner fenders hung on my car right now,and have left all the bolts loose, Does anyone have a proceedure that works for them with the least trouble?

Shim the top vertical cowl bolt first to set fender height to the door, shim the front horizontal cowl bolt to set the door-to-fender gap, shim the horizontal bolt at the upper rear to set in-out fender-to-door flush above the feature line, then shim the bottom two vertical bolts to set fender-to-door flush below the feature line. Leave the two radiator support-to-subframe bolts and the diagonal brace tubes until last, after you've squared-up the hood opening to the hood by moving the radiator support laterally.
