Trying to find a Mar '69 date coded 1111489 distributor.  Does this look legit?

Very hard to comment with that amount of damage (pitting?). Would recommend searching for pictures of any other 489's to see if that particular date code shows up.

I may be naive, but I don’t think that there is a significant demand for this particular number (OP’s) to warrant “restamps”? The restamp business is generally relegated to high demand, high $$ ($800-$1.5k) pieces. I won’t comment on reasons these restamps exist. Parts in the $50-$100 range (OP’s part in question) are generally not profitable enough to justify the effort to restamp.

Looks like someone took the wire wheel on a bench grinder to it. I would say $50 bucks to worthless.

Or laying on a dirt floor on that particular side in the mud,,,,,
