Does this appear to be the real deal or a re-stamp ?

IT looks good...

But you have to see the rest of the carb to know if it has the correct parts on it. I have a 68 4053 but it has a restamped metering block on it that some seller put on it and took the original. The only way I found out is when it was being restored and it didn't look right to the guy doing it.

Front and rear pics below.

Metering block is 4519 ?

It has the correct base plate as well...
The correct base plates without the LUMP on the drivers side rear mounting hole/rear throttle shaft boss are not reproduced.
That's a really nice carb. Is it for another car of yours?

Thanks for the info! Yes this was for another but I didn't get it. Winning bid on eBay was $440.

Rob I was watching it, it's relisted with start bid of $425.....

That part no. will work on a late 68 or early 69 Camaro
68-69 302
68 396
Hope that helps

While it will work, it's not factory correct for a 68 or an early 69. The date is 934 which is the 4th week of March, 1969. Too late for an early 69 and way too late for a 68.

My early 69 Z's (10B) carb is actually from Jul of 68, 872.

That's because they were built in batches. My 05D L89 has an 833 (third week of March, 1968) assembly date.
