Does anyone know where you can download (or at least get the lyrics) of  Cyrkle's promo song, "Camaro"? --flip side is SS396...

Hi Phil -

I haven't heard that one yet, but here are the lyrics to "Bitchin Camaro" by the Dead Milkmen:

It's a funny song.   :D

The Paul Revere & The Radiers tracks are available but I have not seen the Cyrcle track, Camaro.  I'm sure that Columbia has it in their tape vaults but it's just a matter of tracking the right person who works there about whether it has been released on CD or not.  I have a mint copy of the 45, and I have some disc jockey friends.  I'll have to see if they can do an mp3 transfer.

That would be great, Jerry!  Actually, I'd be satisfied with just the lyrics.

Paul: Old man that I am, and I hate to admit it, but I've actually heard that one.  But it's definitely not the one I was look for... pretty funny is right!

You can also listen to about 90 seconds of the song.

FYI,

There was a picture sleeve that came with the record when it was given to new Camaro-Chevelle owners.  When I worked at Miller Chevrolet, Ellicott City, MD back about 1971, there were boxes of this record that were eventually thrown out!

It looks like the link only gets you to the web site.  Under the search option   type in  "SS 396"  and it should take you to the song.

Jason,

Just verify everything and take you time.  If you have any questions, call me.  Take plenty of photos so I can see.  Write everything down too.

Regarding Myron Lee, if you could get a copy of that PBS show I would appreciate that very much.  I have already been in touch with the CEO of Ace Records in London and they are very interested in having me put this CD project together on his music.  We have also found some of the Norman Petty master tapes.  Just what I need, another project!  It was great meeting him while visiting.  Tell you dad I said hello too.

Good luck,

Jerry
